SCV Crime Prevention Deputies joined the City of Santa Clarita Government for “Walk to School Day” in which students from Emblem Academy were escorted by both City Staff and deputies to Central Park where parents were encouraged to pick up their children as a way to avoid school traffic while awaiting their safe arrival.
We continue to encourage SCV residents to practice safe driving when driving through school zones such as by completing stops at stop signs, proceeding slowly through intersections and avoid added distractions like cellphone use.
