Recently, a deputy patrolling Newhall identified a stolen vehicle. During a traffic stop, a female and male were detained, however a second female fled the location on foot, and remained outstanding at the time of the investigation.
During the investigation, deputies located several credit cards not named to either party, account information listed to many identified victims and tools commonly used for mail theft.
From the investigation a female was arrested for grand theft auto. A male was arrested for identity theft, grand theft auto and possession of burglary tools.
Detectives were able to identify the outstanding female and confirmed her to be on active parole. Deputies with the Crime Impact Team conducted surveillance and located the woman at an apartment in Stevenson Ranch.
During a parole compliance search, hundreds of personal documents, checks, ID cards and more were located, as well as a loaded firearm, narcotics, drug paraphernalia among other items of contraband.
The female, who is also on federal probation for previous mail theft, was arrested for possession of a firearm with narcotics, identity theft and much more. A male was also contacted in the apartment and identified as a convicted felon. He was arrested on several similar charges. At this time, all suspects remain in custody. Several great arrests made through team work.
