Trespassing and Under the Influence Arrest
On June 28, 2022, at 8:10 a.m., Kern County Sheriff’s deputies received a report of an adult male throwing objects off the roof of the Rite Aid on the 1400 block of South H Street. Deputies responded and attempted to contact the subject using loudspeaker announcements, encouraging the subject to safely come down from the roof. Negotiations lasted over an hour. With the assistance of Kern County Sheriff’s Air Support Unit, Bakersfield Fire, Kern Behavioral Health and AT&T, deputies were able to safely arrest the suspect, Ramon Garcia, age 29, on charges of trespassing, being under the influence of drugs and resisting arrest.
