On Monday, October 3rd, at approximately 4:45pm, SCV deputies responded to assist LA County Fire with a female suffering an apparent medical emergency on Golden Valley Road. Upon arrival, deputies determined the female patient was under the influence of narcotics.
As deputies attempted to detain the female, she became uncooperative and fled on foot through a heavy flow of traffic. As deputies apprehended the female, a brief struggle ensued. A short period later, deputies were able to detain the female without further incident.
Deputies did not sustain injury. The female sustained minor injuries and was evaluated by medical personnel. After the suspect was medically cleared, she was booked into the SCV Sheriff’s Station for being under the influence of a controlled substance and battery on a peace officer.
