UPDATE (4:51 p.m.): Sand Canyon is now open to through traffic.
ALERT (3/7 - 1:01 p.m.): Due to a contractor hitting a gas main in the street, Sand Canyon Road is currently CLOSED between Soledad Canyon Road and Sierra Highway. Law Enforcement is on the scene assisting with traffic control. Local access only will be allowed on this stretch of Sand Canyon Road. All others should avoid the area to the extent possible and plan an alternate route.
