As part of Metro's I-5 North County Enhancements Project, the northbound side of Interstate 5 WILL BE CLOSED TONIGHT (January 17) and TOMORROW (January 18) from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. each night/morning. | Public domain pictures
TONIGHT: As part of Metro's I-5 North County Enhancements Project, the northbound side of Interstate 5 WILL BE CLOSED TONIGHT (January 17) and TOMORROW (January 18) from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. each night/morning. A FULL CLOSURE will be in place on N/B I-5 between Magic Mountain Parkway and SR-126/Newhall Ranch Road.
Thursday, January 19 from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. (on January 20) is scheduled as a contingency day.
During the closure, crews will remove two existing overhead signs at the CHP Weigh Station, as well as on the N/B I-5 at Newhall Ranch Road.
Detour Option 1:Exit N/B I-5 to E/B Valencia Blvd. Turn left onto McBean Parkway. Turn left onto W/B Newhall Ranch Road. Enter N/B I-5 from Newhall Ranch Road.
Detour Option 2: Exit N/B I-5 at Magic Mountain Parkway and turn left. Turn right onto N/B The Old Road. Enter N/B I-5 at Hasley Canyon Road.
