As this year comes to a close, we wish farewell to some of our commissioners.
Mandy Bolter was sworn in as a Kent County Commissioner representing District 5 on February 27, 2014, and will be leaving the Board of Commissioners at the end of her term. During her nearly nine years on the Board, Commissioner Bolter has served as Chair of the Board from 2019 – 2021, Board Vice Chair, Chair of Executive Committee, and Chair of the Legislative and Human Resources Committee.
Commissioner Bolter worked extensively as her time as Chair to maintain the County’s AAA bond rating, improve Kent County’s parks, and much more. Commissioner Bolter significantly contributed her time and talents to serving on many county committees including: serving on the Finance and Physical Resources Committee, Grand Valley Metro Council, Human Services Committee, Grand Rapids-Kent County Convention/Arena Authority, Millennium Park Architectural Advisory Review Board, Experience Grand Rapids Board of Directors, Community Corrections Advisory Board and others.
We thank Commissioner Bolter for her leadership, passion, and service to the County and wish her much happiness and success in the years to come.
