Twenty-one years ago, our friend and partner Deputy Hagop “Jake“ Kuredjian’s life was tragically taken while on duty.
He responded to a back up request in Stevenson Ranch where federal agents were attempting to serve a search warrant. As officers made entry, the suspect opened fire, striking and killing Deputy Kuredjian.
August 31st, 2001 was the day Deputy Kuredjian’s 17-year career ended with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Today, his partners at Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station remember him by wearing a “Class A” uniform and tie, and by standing 24 hour watch over his memorial site.
We will never forget your sacrifice, Jake.
