A Gorman unit patrolling Frazier Mountain Park Road observed a vehicle with expired registration. During a traffic stop, deputies learned the female driver was driving on a suspended driver’s license and later issued her a citation.
While speaking with a male passenger, deputies identified the male to be on active probation. A probation search of the vehicle resulted in the recovery of a small container of heroin belonging to the male.
The male was arrested for possession of narcotics. He was booked into the SCV Sheriff’s Station and subsequently released on citation to appear in court at a later date.
A few hours later, deputies received a call for service regarding a stolen vehicle from a local business in Canyon Country. During investigation, a Gorman unit spotted the vehicle driving in the Gorman area. The suspect proceeded to flee, but was successfully apprehended a short period later.
While speaking with the male suspect, deputies recognized him from the earlier arrest in which he was, then, found in possession of heroin. The male was arrested again, but this time for taking a vehicle without owner’s consent. He was booked into the SCV Sheriff’s Station and later released on bond.
