Reminder: Putting on your seatbelt should be the first step when entering any vehicle.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, “Of the 22,215 passenger vehicle occupants killed in 2019, 47% were not wearing seat belts.”
Both straps of a seatbelt should be worn across the body, and not placed behind your back, or under your arm.
Children who are 8 years of age OR have reached 4’9” in height may be secured by just a seatbelt at minimum, but should still use a booster seat as extra precaution.
#HeadsUp SCV, always ensure you and your family are buckled up before driving away.
