Deputies on the Special Assignment Team (SAT) were patrolling the city of Newhall when they observed a vehicle not adhering to vehicle code.
Inside of the vehicle were two males and a female.  
Deputies contacted the male driver of the vehicle and discovered he was on parole.  
Deputies contacted the male passenger, discovered he was on probation, had a knife (3-inch fixed bladed knife) hidden in his jacket and had an outstanding warrant.  
The female passenger was detained pending an investigation.  
During a search of the vehicle deputies discovered, a can of pepper spray (tear gas) which belonged to the male driver.  
While transporting the suspects to the SCV Station jail, the male passenger told deputies he had narcotics hidden on him.  
The male driver was arrested for being a felon in possession of tear gas. The male passenger was arrested for carrying a concealed dirk or dagger and being in possession of illegal narcotics. The female passenger was cited for an outstanding warrant. One suspect remains in custody at this time.
