A deputy patrolling Castaic observed a vehicle in violation of several vehicle codes. While speaking with the male driver, the deputy learned the male was driving on a suspended driver’s license.
While detaining the male pending further investigation, the deputy observed a handgun in the driver’s door, loaded with ammunition and not registered to the male.
The male was arrested and booked into the station for carrying a stolen loaded firearm, carrying a concealed firearm in a vehicle and driving on a suspended license.
