Deputies with the JTeam were patrolling Canyon Country when they observed a vehicle with expired registration. During a traffic stop, deputies immediately observed drug paraphernalia within reach of the male driver. They additionally learned the male was on active parole.
During a parole compliance check of the vehicle, deputies located numerous blank checks, access cards and California IDs not named to the male, as well as methamphetamine.
The male was arrested for identity theft, acquiring access cards with intent to defraud, possession of methamphetamine and more. He was booked into the SCV Sheriff’s Station and remains in custody at the time of this post.
