Deputies recently received a call for service of a male seen driving a vehicle believed to be stolen. As deputies arrived on scene, they saw a male matching the suspect description on an off road vehicle with a female companion.

As they attempted to contact the couple, the male fled, however deputies were able to successfully apprehend him. A search of the male resulted in the recovery of a baggie of methamphetamine.

During investigation, the female was identified to have two outstanding warrants for her arrest. As for the male, he had a no bail warrant and the quad he was seen on was also identified to be stolen. A primary vehicle the male was reported seen in prior to deputy arrival was also located and confirmed to be stolen.

The male was arrested for taking a vehicle without owner’s consent and possession of a controlled substance. The female was arrested for her warrants. They were booked into the SCV Sheriff’s Station and remain in custody at this time.
