8:15pm UPDATE: The #SamFire in Gorman is currently at 148 acres with 60% containment. Fire crews will continue to work throughout the night to achieve full containment.

6:30pm UPDATE: The #SamFire continues to grow, now at 150 acres, however with no structures threatened.

5:15pm UPDATE: The #SamFire is currently at 50 acres. Please avoid the area and allow emergency vehicles to proceed through.

ORIGINAL POST:

A brush fire has been reported along the 43800 block of Lancaster Rd., near highway 138 in Gorman. The fire is currently at 15 acres, with no structures threatened. The California Highway Patrol is currently on scene as well, assisting in shutting down highway 138. Please expect travel delays and continue to monitor this post for incoming updates.
