5:55pm UPDATE: All lanes westbound Soledad Canyon Road are now open, and most lanes of eastbound traffic have opened as well. The number 3 lane eastbound Soledad Canyon Road is the only lane designated to remain closed pending #RailroadFire clean up. Thank you for your continued patience.

5:35pm UPDATE: One lane in each direction of Soledad Canyon Road between Bouquet Canyon Road and Commuter Way is now open. We will advise when all lanes reopen.

4:10pm UPDATE: Forward progress has been stopped for the #RailroadFire. SCV deputies are slowly allowing re-entry into businesses along Soledad Canyon Road. Thank you for your patience.

3:20pm UPDATE: Mandatory evacuations are in order for businesses on Soledad Canyon Road between Bouquet Canyon Road and Commuter Way, and south of Commuter Way to Magic Mountain Parkway. The evacuations are for businesses only. The #RailroadFire is currently at 20 acres

3pm UPDATE: The #RailroadFire is currently at 1.5 acres, 2nd alarm with no structures threatened.

A brush fire has been reported along Soledad Canyon Road and Commuter Way in Saugus. As a precaution, deputies are closing Soledad Canyon Road in both directions, between Bouquet Canyon Road and Commuter Way. Please allow emergency vehicles to proceed through and continue to monitor this post for incoming updates.
