On Tuesday, April 8, former West Ranch High School standout Austin Puett’s current college team, the Long Beach State Beach, lost 12-1 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the UCLA Bruins.
The game took place at Jackie Robinson Stadium. This was their first matchup against the Bruins this season.
The Beach’s next game is scheduled for Friday, April 11 at 6 p.m. at Bohl Diamond at Blair Field against Cal State Bakersfield Roadrunners.

Mecklenburg County received $3.3 million from a Chicago-based political foundation after leaders agreed to “reduce the use of incarceration” for repeat criminals like DeCarlos Brown, Jr.
These former Northwest Los Angeles County area high school athletes will be active in competitions the week of Monday, Sept. 8.
